The purpose of this study was to investigate the job satisfaction of dental hygienists by types of working places, Data were obtained from 160 dental hygienists who were working in dental clinics, dental hospital or in, health centers.
The results, derived . from using the spss/pc were as follows :
l. According to-types of working places the job satisfaction of the hygienists who were working in dental clinics or dental hospitals was 3.37, on the other hand, that of those who were working in health centers was 3.15. There was a significant difference statistically (P<0 05)
2. As for the job satisfaction according to types of working places, it was shown that there were very., significant differences in the reflection degree of the patients´ requests, a decisive power of business (P<0.001) ; many significant differences in payment, systematic administration, the atmosphere of office (P<0.01) ; on the other hand, some significant differences in pay system, professional pride, autonomy, welfare (P<0.05)
3. In case of the relation between general features and job satisfaction according to types of working places, it was shown that there were some significant differences in the age group of 25-29, total career and the working years at the current working place of 6-9 years, experienced group of change to another working place (P<0.05)
